CHE MUJI CHE NOH is upset with the registered post service offered by a courier company.

“I entered to a contract for service with the company to courier my parcel from Seremban 2 to Seri Kembangan on April 21, but even by April 26 the parcel had not reached its destination,” claims CHE MUJI.

R. ASHVINDEVI from Shah Alam fears she has been conned by a travel card company. She says she believes it is a subsidiary of a larger group of companies with big names.

The insurance claims executive says she paid almost RM600 for membership to a privileged holiday club and travel tour card service in March last year to which, she says, she was entitled to a four-day, three-night complimentary hotel stay in the region of Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand for two people.

J.A. MUGGELAN claims he has had numerous problems and incurred a loss while trying to get his satellite television decoder fixed.

He explains that his decoder stopped functioning on May 3, and he called the customer service number on the same day at around 4.30pm and lodged a complaint.

But after conducting several tests under the guidance of the satellite television company’s customer service, he was told the decoder was broken.

ISMAIL SEYDALAVI claims he was promised RM10 rebate for five months after buying a broadband modem at RM100 from a dealer in Jalan Loke Yew two months ago.

However, after almost two months of using the service, the assistant security officer says he has yet to receive the rebate.

“On the March 10, I bought the modem from a dealer and was promised a rebate of RM10 for five months. Until now, I have received nothing,” he says.

MOGGIE R. MANIKAM says she had an unsatisfactory customer service experience with an employee from a pharmaceutical outlet in Subang Jaya while attempting to redeem a bag.

She alleges that the employee initially questioned her decision to redeem the bag and was later rude to her when she had to reschedule her time to pick it up.

ZAKARIA BAKAR, an events director at a local hotel claims there are discrepancies with his monthly broadband bills.

He asks why his bill amounted to RM1,067 in November, 2011, RM1,849 in October, 2011 and RM2,961 in December.

ZAKARIA says he has been trying to address the issue with his service provider but the matter has yet to be resolved despite filing his latest report on March 23.

SOFEA MUNIRA was disgusted to find the bread, which she just purchased, covered with fungus. SOFEA, 19, claims she bought the bread on April 24 from a nearby convenience store.

The expiry date stated on the tag read April 27.

However, on opening the pack, she says she was dismayed to find the bread covered with mold.

YAP CHEE KONG is frustrated at not being able to redeem a free one-night stay at a hotel in Genting, despite receiving an SMS offer.

YAP says he received an SMS on April 3 stating he was entitled to a free one-night stay at a prominent Genting hotel in conjunction with a promotion for Mother’s and Father’s Day.

He says in the SMS, he was instructed to reply with his hotel membership card number and check-in date to book a room.

LIOW YUET KIEW from Pandan Perdana is still waiting for the holiday packages she was promised for signing up for a timeshare membership last February.

LIOW, 32 claims she was promised a free eight-day, seven-nights holiday package to Gold Coast, Australia, as well as another holiday package in Desaru, Johor.

She was to receive these holiday packages in two weeks upon signing up for the timeshare membership.

LIOW, however, says to date, she has only received the agreement and notification of the installment plan.

LEONG YUET MAE alleges a telecommunications company threatened to terminate her line, all because she was late in settling her last month’s bill.

She also says that despite threatening to cut her line, the company said it will continue to bill her.

LEONG says the company is employing heavy-handed tactics on its client, which is totally unwarranted.

“I did not have any outstanding bill at the time and I was merely delayed in paying last month’s bill,” she claims.

THOMAS CHINNIAH is unhappy with the after-sales service he has received from his car company.

THOMAS, 48, claims he was asked on Aug 20, last year to send his car in to check and replace parts, regarding an issue with the front absorbers.

However, the customer support manager said he was only able to carry out repairs on March 29 this year.

K. VEENA KUMARI claims that a telecommunications company is not providing enough internet ports for her housing area causing her to be unable to subscribe for their high speed broadband service.

“I decided to sign up for the broadband package via their website. “However the website cited an error message that read: We are sorry. The address is not serviceable,” she claims.

RONALD RUBEN says although a water company recently made some announcements that there would be water disruptions, no such cuts took place until a month later on Saturday.

“The announcement was made with a lot of hype, therefore we held water in containers in anticipation of the announced cut, but the water cut did not come.” says RUBEN. He adds that when the water was eventually cut, it happened without any notification.

R. CHANDRIKA feels cheated after receiving an advance payment notice in her broadband bill.

According to her, advance payments are not practiced by other broadband service providers.

She also claims she was never told of the payment when she registered with a U Mobile agent. “Because of this, I want to cancel my account and demand a refund for the deposit of RM100,” says CHANDRIKA.

KUALA LUMPUR: At midday yesterday, Dataran Merdeka was still in a lockdown and is expected to remain so until May 1 in the aftermath of Bersih 3.0, with more than 100 police officers patrolling Jalan Raja, Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin and Jalan Mahkamah Persekutuan which are blocked by razor-wires and barricades.
