KUALA LUMPUR: The 6-year-old boy who went missing from a playground near his grandmother’s house in Seri Kota Flat, Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras on Saturday was found this morning.

Muhammad Adam Haikal was seen being approached by a man at the playground.

When he failed to return home by 7pm, family and friends checked all the apartments and even vehicles moving in and out of the area.

KUALA LUMPUR: Everyone involved in the murder cum abuse case of 18-month-old K. Haresvarren will be investigated, and this includes the parents.

"We wi l l leave no s tone  unturned," said Selangor police deputy chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan to The Malay Mail this morning.

He said police, in fact, had  interviewed and recorded statements from Haresvarren's parents during initial investigations and will call them again when there is a need for more information.

PETALING JAYA: A young man is fighting for his life at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang after an accident on Sunday, allegedly involving Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Sue Lim (pic).

The incident occurred just after midnight at a traffic light junction near the Selangor Industrial University (Unisel) in Section 7, Shah Alam.

Ng is believed to have lost control of his car after hitting the road divider.

PETALING JAYA: A blogger has posted a police report lodged by a retired soldier in Kedah yesterday against DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin over the Perak government issue.

According to a posting at bigdogdotcom.wordpress.com, the report was made by a retired Royal Malay Regiment officer in Kuala Muda at 4.36pm.

KUALA LUMPUR: City police seized RM9 million worth of syabu following the arrests of four men on Tuesday. Three were arrested at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, while the other, in Cheras.

City police chief Datuk Wira Muhammad Sabtu Osman confirmed the arrests this morning.

SEREMBAN: A former bank staff was charged at the Rembau Magistrate’s court this morning with the murder of four members of his family early this month.

Rasidi Ismail is alleged to have murdered his grandparents Atan Daud, 86, and Sufian Keatas, 80; his father Ismail Awang, 76, and sister Siti Khadijah, 22, on Jan 5 at his house and an adjacent house in Gemencheh.

No plea was recorded.

Rasidi was picked up 48 hours after the murder, near an overhead bridge at the Masjid Jamek LRT station in Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR:  Police have arrested the fifth suspect in connection with the murder of prominent lawyer M. Thiruchelraegaran,75.

City deputy CID chief ACP Khairi Ahrasa told The Malay Mail the 35-year-old Indonesian maid was picked up at the house of her employer, the 62-year-old woman lawyer arrested last Saturday, in the city centre at 4pm on Tuesday.

The woman has been remanded for seven days from yesterday.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sentul district police have confirmed yesterday's stone-throwing incident at the Gurdwara Sahib Sentul in Jalan Haji Salleh is not related to the recent church attacks.

Its chief, Assistant Commissioner Zakaria Pagan, told The Malay Mail this morning that investigations so far showed it as an isolated case.

He also said no new cases involving Sikh temples were reported in Sentul and advised members of the public to stop sensationalising it.

PETALING JAYA: It was a family affair for two house break-in syndicates crippled by police in the Klang Valley last week.

The first syndicate was headed by two brothers and the other by a couple. Both syndicates are believed to have been operating since October last year.

Sources said the syndicates would not only break into houses and cart away jewellery and electrical appliances but also the vehicles parked in the porch.

KLANG: A factory worker’s dream of celebrating Hari Raya Haji with her RM30,000 from a winning lottery ticket was shattered when it turned out to be fake.

To add insult to injury, the 36-year-old woman was made poorer by RM3,700 in cash and jewellery in the dubious deal.

It all began when she met an Indonesian man at a hypermarket in Klang last Wednesday at 3pm. The man approached her claiming that he had won RM30,000 in a lottery draw. He claimed that he was unable to retrieve the cash because he was an illegal immigrant.

SIK: Barely 24 hours after a man shot his former father-in-law, police had him in custody. The 31-year-old shot the victim in the abdomen about 5.30pm on Tuesday before fleeing.

This time Chennai police in Tamil Nadu allege that they are investigating fraud credit card cases that have links with organised crime in Malaysia.

An online news portal reported that a Singaporean, who was arrested by the Bank Fraud and Credit Card wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), in his confession statement said that he paid thousands of ringgit to a Malaysian man for one passport and four fake credit cards.

BUSINESSMAN K. Shanmugam, who was shot dead in a sundry shop in Lukut, Negri Sembilan on Tuesday was robbed by a gunman about a month earlier.
In the robbery, also near a shop in Lukut, the gunman fired a shot at Shanmugam, who operated a transportation company, before robbing him of an undisclosed amount of cash. The shot narrowly missed him.
