IT IS gratifying to learn from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak himself that we can achieve 30% bumiputra equity by 2020. Already, rapid progress has been attained.
Bumiputra equity increased from a share of 21.9% or RM127 billion in 2008 to 23.0% or RM168 billion in 2010. If this trend continues, we should be able to reach our targets even before 2020, provided there are no leakages.
MALAYSIANS can be proud that our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been widely and persistently promoting the wise philosophy of “moderation” at home and abroad.
However, we have to seriously practise what we preach in order to be taken seriously.
