AmBank sponsors golf tourney

FEATURING the top 90 junior golfers in the country and 30 foreign junior golfers from Thailand, Korea and first timer India, Am-Bank Group has once again come on board to sponsor this prestigious junior golf tournament which will be held at the challenging Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia in Sg Buloh, for the seventh time.

They will be vying for the Tan Sri Datuk Azman Hashim trophy, named after the AmBank Group chairman.

“We are proud to come on board as the main sponsor once again and a total of 120 players will be taking part in both tournaments,” said its group corporate communications and marketing senior general manager Syed Anuar Syed Ali.

Grassroots development will go a long way in developing and elevating sports to a higher level in the country, he added.

For the AmBank SportExcel Malaysian Junior Grand Finals 2012 and International Junior Golf Championship 2012, the 120 juniors will play in seven categories namely, the Combined U-9, U-12 (Boys and Girls), U-15 (Boys and Girls), and U-20 (Boys and Girls).

The top 90 juniors made the cut for the grand finals after playing over eight legs in the SportExcel junior golf circuit.
