LONDON: Sunderland lead the race this summer for Wolves’ hardman Karl Henry (pic).
Wanderers are doomed to relegation but midfielder Henry has several top-flight admirers.
He captained Wolves in the Premier League for two seasons before Roger Johnson’s controversial appointment last summer.
But Henry has been restored to skipper by Terry Connor this month and did well in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light.
Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill is a long-term admirer, while Wolves’ local rivals West Brom may even make a surprise move.
