Housewife makes gruesome discovery

DAMANSARA: A morning trip to the market turned into an unforgettable outing for a housewife when she stumbled upon a body by the roadside in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara yesterday.

The deceased male was found with seven stab wounds and a slash mark on his body at about 7am.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamad (pic) said it was believed the victim was from Indonesia.

“The man was believed to have been attacked by more than one suspect.”

The unidentified man in his 20s had four stab wounds on the chest, one on the back of the body and one on each hand.

“Based on blood traces, we believe he was murdered before 6am,” said Arjunaidi, adding revenge could have been the motive.

“The man’s personal belongings, such as his wallet, were not found at the scene but his motorcycle, parked near the body, remained intact,” said Arjunaidi.

The body was taken to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
