Nissan launches two premium vehicles

KUALA LUMPUR: The new seven-seater Nissan Elgrand MPV and updated Nissan Murano SUV have been launched by Edaran Tan Chong Motor.

The Elgrand’s offer seats that incorporate three new technologies — seat cushion-integrated leg rest, articulated seatback, and three-layered cushion pads - promising a traveller would feel like sitting in a first class airline seat.

Entry is via the automatic large rear door slides, There are separate dual-zone automatic climate controls for front and rear cabins, a private theatre entertainment system and an around view monitor parking camera that allows driver an easy manoeuvre in tight spaces.

It offers sedan-like drivability and stability with a low centre of gravity — powered by a 3.5L V6 engine that has a maximum power output of 280PS at 6,400 rpm and maximum torque of 344Nm at 4,400 rpm.

Meanwhile the Murano offers a refreshed bold grille and a redesigned front bumper complete with 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear is enhanced with newly designed sleek bright LED taillights together with integrated dual exhaust outlets to create a distinctive bold athletic stance.

It also features a 3.5L V6 engine that produces a maximum power of 260PS at 6,000rpm with a maximum torque of 336Nm at 4,400rpm and is coupled with an advanced Xtronic CVT transmission with an intelligent all-wheel
drive system.

Both Elgrand and Murano are fully imported from Japan and retail from RM384,863.20 and RM318,882.50 respectively; excluding road tax, insurance and registration related charges.
