North Pole parachute expedition member, 'Rahim King' dies
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Abdul Rahim Dahalan, who had participated in the North Pole parachute expedition in 2007, died at his younger brother's house in Kampung Tengah, Kluang, Johor at 5.45pm today.
His younger brother, Ramlan Ibrahim told Bernama that Abdul Rahim, 65, passed away in the presence of family members following to a heart ailment.
Abdul Rahim, who was also known as "Rahim King", had once served as special officer to former prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Ramlan said his elder brother would be buried at the Kampung Tengah Muslim Cemetery, Kluang after the 'zohor' prayer tomorrow.
Dr Mahathir is expected to pay his last respect to Abdul Rahim at about 10am tomorrow, Ramlan said.
He said that Abdul Rahim's remains would be placed at the mosque nearby to enable relatives and friends to pay their last respects while the Defence Ministry would assist in the funeral arrangements.
