Search continues for woman who jumped into Klang river

KUALA LUMPUR: The search and rescue operation for a woman, said to have jumped into the Klang River from a bridge in Brickfields here yesterday, continues today.

Brickfields district police chief ACP Wan Abd Bari Wan Abd Khalid said the operation was carried out since 10.40pm yesterday after a report on the incident was lodged, but stopped about midnight due to the strong river current, and resumed about 8am today.

According to a family member, the woman was said to be suffering from mental problems, he said when contacted by Bernama.
